As part of a modernization of its fleet, Amtrak has ordered 75 new Siemens ALC-42 locomotives for their long-distance trains. A new livery system was commissioned—the seventh in their 50-year history—to signal the new fleet and carry the Amtrak brand.
The graphic DNA of the Amtrak Travelmark was expanded on by translating the curves and applying a new colorway using red, navy, Amtrak blue, and reflective white arcs.
