When Delphi split into two companies—the newly-named Aptiv and the redefined Delphi Technologies—two new organizations were created, one new brand, one to be evolved, each their own distinct visual sensibilities.
Delphi Technologies evolved with a new emphasis on automotive powertrains and aftermarket products.
As a counterpoint to the Aptiv’s orange, a new luminous blue was selected as the brand color applied to  a new typeface and monogram D symbol with a dynamic oblique interior. This was a nod to The D—Delphi’s Detroit roots.
